Only a Small Percentage of People Can Get a Perfect On This Basic Memory Test. Can You?

الصفحة الرئيسية

You know that feeling you get when you simply cannot remember something for the life of you? It’s almost as if the answer you’re searching for is on the tip of your tongue, but your mind is simultaneously drawing a complete blank. It can be exasperating, frustrating, and annoying as heck when this happens and unfortunately it only becomes more frequent as we get older.
Our memories are fickle things, even the slightest disturbance can effect them. For example, when you’re really hungry it’s hard to remember anything because your mind is dead set on food and eating. Everything else is pushed to the side and until you eat something, it will remain clouded!
For most people, the first thing that comes to mind when they think of memories is events, people, and happenings that occurred long ago in the distant past. These types of recollections are our long-tern memories, and rarely do thoughts concerning our short-term memory come to mind. We tend to overlook those and usually forget about them instead!
Even so, our short-term memory is equally as, if not more, important as our long-term memory is. Without it we’d be lost in the world and we’re constantly relying on it throughout the day. That’s because short-term memory involves holding bits and pieces of information in mind so that they’re available for immediate recall. However, both the length of time and the amount of information that we are capable of holding in our short term memory is extremely limited. Research has shown that the average person can keep in mind 4 or 5 things at any one time, for a duration of only about 15-30 seconds. After that they get replaced by new thoughts and this cycle happens over and over again all throughout the day.
Which brings us back to where we started, when you’re unable to remember something. When that happens, it’s your short-term memory that’s slipping and letting you down. It’s bound to happen and just as we’re constantly gaining new memories, we’re also always forgetting them!
The extent to which you draw a blank comes down to how strong your basic short-term memory is, especially your visual memory, and this quiz will figure out if yours is functioning strongly or not. It tests your overall concentration, memory, and intelligence all in a fun and visually interactive way. Click on it to begin and see how well your brain and mind perform at basic recall tasks. Good luck!
