الصفحة الرئيسية

If you think you’re more intelligent than the average person, then put your money where your mouth is and prove it right now! This quiz tests your ability to spot mistakes in several famous photographs and paintings. It examines both your memory and how well you’re able to recall small but important details from a few of the world’s most iconic and well known artworks.
For those who consider themselves to be cultured or world traveled, they should definitely be extremely familiar with the events and subject matter depicted in all of these classic masterpieces. However, even if you never studied art history or had a strong interest in it, chances are you have seen these works of art many times throughout your life. The world famous paintings featured here include Sandro Botticelli’s Birth of Venus, Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Johannes Vermeer’s The Girl With A Pearl Earring, Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, Grant Wood’s American Gothic, and Andrew Wyeth’s Christina’s World.
There are also several photographs, including V-J Day in Times Square by Alfred Eisenstaedt and Steve McCurry’s legendary photo, Afghan Girl, which is the most modern of the images you’ll be asked about. It appeared on the cover of National Geographic back in June of 1985 and immediately grabbed the attention of anyone who looked at it. The girl’s eyes are hauntingly intense and full of emotion, yet you can’t put your finger on exactly what it is she’s feeling or thinking. The photo is so transfixing and renowned that it’s been widely recognized and called the modern day version of Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
As you’ll soon see, the series of works featured here should be quite familiar to mostly everyone. However, not so many people are able to recall them in such detail as to notice the mistakes that they may or may not contain. So test your intelligence right now and see if you’re IQ is higher than normal, or if it falls on the average end of the spectrum. Good luck!
