When it comes to getting a pet, all sorts of different things have to first be considered. One of the most important aspects you have to think about is what type of animal best fits your personality and lifestyle. Some people are very active and on the go, they need a pet who can keep up with them and benefit from that type of pace. Others are lazy and not as active, so they need a pet who can relax with them and be okay with a sedentary lifestyle.

Personality is just as big a factor as activity level and the happiest pets often share very similar traits with their human counterparts. Because many animal types have been well studied and observed, it gives people the ability to match up individuals with the animal they share the most in common with. There’s a pet out there for each and every one of us that closely compliments our temperament, outlook on life, personality, activity levels, and how we handle the variety of situations that we face daily.

Aries- Dog. Aries are known for being very hands on, energetic, and active. A dog is the perfect pet of choice for them because dogs absolutely love playing and going for walks. With a dog, they’ll always have a faithful companion to accompany them everywhere.

Taurus- Pig. A Taurus needs a smart pet that can cope with being on its own at times. Pigs fit the bill because they are clever, independent, and they won’t ever disrupt a sign that hates being interrupted. While the right cat or dog could fit the bill, a less common cute piglet garners them a lot more attention, which they love.

Gemini- Parrot. Parrots love to talk, Gemini’s love to talk, it’s a match made in heaven! They’ll never be bored or feel alone with a witty bird by their side to chat with all day long. A parrot will also repeat whatever they teach it to say so Gemini’s always have the upper hand, which precludes any power struggle or clashes between the two.

Cancer- Cat. People born under Cancer have the right type of caring and appreciative attitude that feline’s demand. Cat’s can also get down with them because they love both eating and staying in at home. They’re emotionally intelligent enough to know not to expect or ask too much of a cat, so when kitty comes to cuddle and purr on their lap, they’ll be happy as a clam.

Leo- Horse. A natural born leader needs a pet that matches their grace, poise, and regal presence without overpowering them at the same time. Horses are among the most stately, strong, solid, intelligent and majestic animals out there. They also require a lot of upkeep and grooming but Leos won’t mind because they’re vain and if the horse looks good, so do they.

Virgo- Fish. A fish is the perfect pet for a sign that’s always worried about something and hates messes. They won’t have to stress about where their pet is or what it’s up to, or even have to clean up after it since there’s no fur, tracked in dirt or other such things! Plus, just the sight of a pretty fish swimming around lazily and serenely in its tank can help to relax and calm them.

Libra- Dove. Libra’s are hopeless romantics who look for the beauty in everything and the ultimate animal symbol of romance and beauty is a white dove. While the always peaceful and reliable sign would do well with any type of pet, whatever they end up getting has to be beautiful and pleasing to the eye. A pure, snow-white dove encompasses all of their beauty and romance notions and fits them best.

Scorpio- Snake. A sign that is synonymous with transformation needs a pet that can transform itself as well. Snakes shed their skin regularly and have traditionally been viewed as symbols of healing, rebirth, and transformation. If a Scorpio gets a pet snake, it’ll also be a symbol of them as well.

Sagittarius- Turtle. A sign that’s known for always being on some trip or journey, and who’s rarely home for long, needs a very low maintenance pet. Turtles need no basically zero human interaction and with their heat, filter, and lights on a timer they can fare just fine on their own for short stretches.

Capricorn- Purebred anything. It doesn’t matter if it’s a cat, dog, pig, horse, or whatnot, so long as the animal is purebred (or looks like it is) then a Capricorn will be okay with whatever pet they end up choosing. That’s because Capricorn’s are laser focused on status symbols and appearances, so anything less than what appears to be a pure bred pet just won’t do.

Aquarius- Feed the strays. There is no other sign that even comes close to loving freedom like Aquarius does. They don’t want to be tied down by the responsibilities that come with a pet and they also don’t want to take any animal’s freedom away from them as well. It’s in their nature to be thoughtful and generous towards those in need, so feeding stray animals would fulfill their pet yearnings and make a lot of poor animals happy.

Pisces- Bunny. Pisces is the most sensitive sign and those under it are very emotionally and physically reactive. They need a soft, cuddly, quiet, sweet type of pet who matches their delicate side which is why a furry bunny rabbit is perfect for them to dote on and love.
