Facial hair may look good and be on trend for men, but for women it’s the complete opposite. Even though having a few darker hairs on the upper lip area and peach fuzz on your face is totally normal and natural, many women hate it and go to great lengths to try and get rid of it.
Lets face it, female facial hair is a major issue that women everywhere struggle with and yet no one really wants to talk about it because it’s embarrassing. Instead, women turn to all sorts of waxes, razors, creams, lasers, and threading in their quest to remove the unsightly hairs. Those methods vary as to how effective they are and can end up being quite expensive. Some leave the sensitive skin on our faces irritated and red, and many do more harm than good. The whole issue and processes involved are downright frustrating to deal with, but there are alternative ways to go about it.
Rather than take a risk on some expensive product that may very well be filled with harsh, toxic chemicals and not work at all, try a different route and go the all-natural way. The accompanying clip from beauty vlogger Himani Wright features a three ingredient face mask that can effectively get rid of unwanted facial hair, is safe for all skin types, and best of all, is very low cost. Anyone can make this and if you use it regularly it’ll eventually get rid of hair and peach fuzz permanently. That means no more painful, pricey waxes or treatments ever again! Here’s exactly what you need to make it:
- ½ teaspoon of extra virgin, cold pressed coconut oil
– 3 tablespoons of wholemeal flour (this is the same as wholewheat or wholegrain flour)
– A tiny splash of water
1. Begin by gently massaging coconut oil into your skin. Make sure that your entire face is covered. Coconut oil has natural anti-fungal properties, which makes it an excellent base moisturizer. It’s often used in beauty treatments because it contains many protective nutrients and antioxidants that our skin and bodies absolutely love.
2. When you’ve finished with the coconut oil mix together 3 tablespoons of wholemeal flour with just enough water to form a thick, pasty consistency, like the type shown in the video.
3. Apply the flour mask to your face using a downward stroke and work in only one direction.
4. Once it has dried, after about ten minutes or so, you can remove the mask. Gently rub your face in the opposite direction of how you applied the flour mixture, using an upward and out type of motion. After the majority of the mask has been removed you can then wash the rest of it off your face with water, then pat dry with a clean towel.
5. For optimal results, apply a toner to all treated areas. This will help to close up pores and further protect your skin health. Finally, top it all off with your favorite moisturizer and you’re all set.
This wholemeal flour mask works best when applied two times a week for at least one month. Make sure that you wait a couple of days in-between each application and after the first month you can cut it back to 1x a week for however long it takes for your facial hair to lessen and gradually disappear. Pass this beauty tip onto others because who knows, it could change somebody’s appearance and life for the better!
