Looks can be very misleading and at first glance this majestic snow-white bird looks like a very calm and majestic creature. Just like a dove, the beautiful Umbrella Cockatoo could easily pass as a symbol for peace, love, and harmony.
While he may appear to be a gentle serene soul, give him a moment and you’ll soon discover that he’s capable of being anything except for that! The feathered fellas name is Gizmo and he’s a very spirited bird who does whatever the heck he wants.
On this particular occasion all that Gizmo wanted to do was throw stuff on the floor. Since he wasn’t feeling the spoon in front of him on the desk, he decided that it had to go. In one swift movement he grabbed the shiny utensil with his hooked beak and tossed it over the edge.
However, Gizmo’s owner was not in agreement with him and picked the spoon up from off the floor to place it back on the desk. As soon as the bird saw that the darn spoon was back he swiftly flipped it back onto the ground. Every time that he dropped it on the floor his human would pick it up, which is why Gizmo decided to try and toss a nearby cell phone off the desk instead.
It’s not clear what has gotten into Gizmo or why he insists on being a brat, but it’s okay because his mini-temper tantrum is the most adorable thing to watch! Whatever has ruffled his feathers can’t be that bad because he isn’t going totally berserk, like other Cockatoos are prone to do. When that happens, they get super loud and screech up an ear-piercing storm!
