Do you remember the good old days when the simplest of things managed to capture your imagination? When you’re young and everything is new to you in the world, even ordinary objects like elastic bands and rolls of toilette paper were fun to play around with.
While the magic of youth grows weaker with each passing year for us humans, such is not the case for our beloved pets and animal friends. They often retain their curiosity and sense of wonder throughout their lifetimes. That’s part of what makes them so special and fun to be around and interact with, or just watch, not to mention why we find them so lovable!
The beautiful yellow, orange, green, and white feathered parrot in this video is positive proof of just how innocent, energetic, and fun loving some pets truly are. The star of the short clip goes by the name Little Bird and he’s a subspecies of parrot called a black headed Caique. The funny, pretty bird sure looks like one happy little fellow and he definitely doesn’t need much to be entertained!
To get him hopping around all that it takes is a piece of paper towel or two! Little Bird goes seriously wild for the absorbent paper sheets and when he gets his beak on one he literally dances with joy and excitement. The sight of him romping around on the kitchen floor with his napkin toy is too cute and adorable for words. He hops gingerly up and down and dances around, kicking up his teeny little legs and bobbing to and fro in sheer happiness! This is one parrot who knows how to shimmy and move around, he even breaks out some complex high stepping moves that are actually quite impressive. It looks like he has a case of happy feet and the sound of his talons clicking and clacking on the wood floor is music to any animal lovers ears!
The best part is when he starts rolling around and wrapping himself up in the paper towel, it’s too stinkin’ cute! He’ll steal your heart as soon as he grabs the napkin with his tiny beak and drags it all around, giving a little whistle here and a chirp there, he’s just such an awesome parrot.
